Here is the transcript of the chat between 19 year-old me, and the handsome, witty grown-up that idiot somehow spawned.

My inner child returned as I flapped my noodley arm around at raptors, so I did what every responsible adult would do: I interviewed him. It was there, when I was 19 and this felt like the future, that I lost dozens of hours. I managed to dig the demo up on TresCom, and installed two parts of the mods here to up the resolution and returned to that Lost World. I still really like the game, but it was that little sandbox of dinosaurs and boxes that boiled down what I wanted from games. I took some time to consider what I loved about Trespasser, a game that was widely regarded as the most disappointing release of 1998, and I realised that my fondest memories were of the demo. We got a ton of work to do still, so back to it! See you soon.I'm finally handed the opportunity to write about Jurassic Park: Trespasser on RPS, but instead of hitting Isla Sorna like a sexy chaos mathematician, I instead drop into the less chaotic confines of the demo. We’re all super excited to get this version of Eco out to you all, its going to be like a new game. These are the major feature demos, but on the other Fridays we’ll have livestreams showing other features, and a chance for feedback from players. This is going to be a giant change to the feel of the game and looking forward to community tests and feedback! We’re also keeping support for the old style without settlements, which players can disable in the server if they like. The property system will be completely transformed too, based on population rather than skill upgrades. Each casts ‘influence’ based on their culture (another new system) where their laws apply. Each has their own overlapping governments, complete with laws, taxes, treasuries, etc. Towns contain multiple citizens, Countries contain multiple towns, and Federations (think United Nations) contain multiple countries. Settlements Demo – March 24th The new Settlements system will allow the creation of towns, countries, and federations.
